Peregrine’s motto: ‘Wines with Altitude’ isn’t just a fun play on words; the winery is dedicated to saving endangered birds of prey. This stunning (and bird-friendly) wine has notes of dark cherry and spice.

Wine Advocate

Medium ruby-purple colored, the 2009 Pinot Noir has a moderate intensity of red cherry and raspberry aromas over tree bark, cinnamon stick and black pepper. Medium bodied with a good concentration of earthy berry flavors, it has crisp acid, grainy tannins and a long finish. Approachable now, it should develop nicely and drink to 2015+.

Score: 90. —Lisa Perrotti-Brown, October 2011.
