The Torrontés grape, a crossing between Muscat of Alexandria and Criolla Chica, is a unique varietal to Argentina. Elegant, floral, aromatic with great acidity. Perfect with light meals.

Wine Advocate

The 2011 Don David Reserve Torrontes has a delightful passion fruit, coconut and lychee-scented nose that is well-defined and floral. The palate is light and perhaps a little simple and pithy on the entry, although it demonstrates good weight in the mouth, with a hint of white pepper leaving a slight tingle on the finish. Drink now.

Score: 89. —Neal Martin, October 2012.

Wine Enthusiast

Citrus, lychee and mineral are the key aromas. It feels alive, with nice acidity and flavors of nectarine, peach and lychee. This is sweet, oily, pithy and true to the variety from start to finish.

Score: 87. —Michael Schachner, August 01, 2012.
